Given the number of people who spend at least part of their day tapping away on a laptop computer, if you're a bike commuter, you'll probably have to carry a laptop between home and work or school, maybe occasionally, maybe every day. So what's the best way to do this? Here's the best ways other riders have found to carry their computer safely and comfortably when they ride. Share How You Do It!

Broken vertebrae

I cannot repeat too often that carrying a backpack while riding your bike can break your back! I happend to fall off my bike while commuting and landed on my backpack (contained a Laptop and Notebook). You might assume that the backpack would offer some sort of back protection, but in fact it broke my spine in two places (lumbar vertebra 1&2, exactly where the backpack ends). Always use pannier rack!
