Inspect Your Helmet For Signs of Wear

If you are like me, you may not always be so careful with your helmet. It gets tossed in the back of the car. You try to hang it off your handlebars as you park your bike, but it always seems to slip off despite your best intent, hitting the floor or ground with a clunk.

So how do you know when these little stressors have added up to cause lasting damage? How do you know when it becomes time to send your helmet to that great bikepath in the sky? Here is how to inspect your helmet for signs of wear, and what to look for that will tell you that it is time to get a replacement.
