Once you're finished with the first big shave of your legs, it's much easier to keep them looking good going forward.. Usually shaving once or twice a week will do it, and you can quickly shave in the bath or shower with just a light soapy lather. If you've got particularly dark, thick or fast-growing hair, you may have to have more frequently. Personal preference will play a part as well.
Note that for some people, applying lotion occasionally will help prevent dry skin that may accompany shaving, particularly if you're not accustomed to it. Plus it'll help make your skin feel and look great.
