Guide Review - Enties Number BMX Shoe Reviewed
When you're looking for a BMX shoe, you want three things: a shoe that looks good, a shoe that will protect your feet, and a shoe that performs well on the bike. That list may not necessarily be in priority order for you personally, but the good news is that the Etnies Number BMX shoe does all three well.
This shoe brings a number of features that make it a top performer. First one specifically to mention is found in the shoe's cushioning, both in the mid-sole and heel area. It's thick where you need it on the heel to protect against the pounding that part of your foot can take, and thin across the middle of the foot where it meets the pedal. That offers a better level of feel and sensitivity so that you know where your foot is in relation to pedal position at all times. Plus the Etnies Number shoe has a nice flat tread pattern that's not quite sticky, but is definitely got a great rubber gripping feel to keep your feet on the pedals.
Then, the shoe's durable construction and great looks are going to last a long time, even under the pounding that a serious rider can dish out, and still keep looking good all the while.
Finally, the only thing to point out from a potential downside to the shoe is that the way the shoe's fabric pieces come together from side, front and lacing. There, the corner point where this material meets at the bottom of the laces may be prone to rise up just a bit over time. But that's a very minor point indeed, and not something that's typically going to bother anyone. All in all, this is a nice shoe that you'll be happy with, whether on the bike or on your feet doing something else.
