Separate the Valve Stem from the Rim

Remove the valve stem from the rim.

Next, you'll need to remove the valve stem from the rim. This is the metal valve that pokes through the rim used to inflate the tube. Coming from the center of the wheel by the spokes, locate the valve stem and push it up and through the hole in the rim so that it no longer protrudes through the rim.

• Remove Wheel From Bike
• Remove the Tire from the Rim
• Separate the Valve Stem from the Rim
• Take the Tube Out of the Tire
• Put the New Tube in Your Tire
• Replace Tire on the Rim
• Seat the Tire Snugly on Rim
• Inflate The Tube
• Put the Wheel Back On Your Bike
• Test, then Ride!
