Guide Review - Pryme 8 Helmet and the Pryme 8 Tat2 Helmet
A helmet is a helmet right? Well, the Pryme 8 helmet does the basics well - protects your head without being flamboyant. Yet, the Pryme people have still managed to build in several nice features into a pretty basic helmet.
First, even if you're the only one who notices, the subtle Pryme skull logo on the rivets will still make you feel cool. Plus the stylish yet understated graphics on the Pryme 8 Tat2 helmet if you choose to go that route will allow you to say a lot without speaking a word.
The fit on the Pryme 8 helmet is pretty standard for this type of design for BMX/skate helmets. They're the kind that fit low and snug, and most people like the way they feel. Plus several different thicknesses of removeable interior pads are provided, so you can switched them out as they get grungy and/or to create a more perfect fit.
No complaints here with the sizing because of those features that allow you to adapt and customize, though I will say that with my big old grown-up melon, even the biggest size (XL) sat a little high. But for most everyone else with a normal-sized skull, the fit should be good, and you'll be snug and buckled in, with the helmet sitting like it should, down on your forehead and also offering protection in the back.
