Tour de France winner Alberto Contador and his Discovery Channel teammates George Hincapie and Levi Leipheimer, who took third in the TdF, are among the riders slated to compete in the inaugural Tour of Missouri which starts Tuesday, Sept. 11th, in Kansas City.

TV Coverage of the six-stage, 600 mile race, rated 2.1 UCI will be on the Versus network. After Kansas City, riders cross the state from west to east, wrangling their way through the hills of the Ozarks on their way to the final stage, a 74 mile circuit race through the streets of St. Louis on Sunday, Sept. 16th.
