U.S. Attorney Andre Birotte decided on Friday to close the investigation into possible doping by seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong without bringing any charges against him. For years, Armstrong has steadfastly denied any use of performance enhancing drugs.
Though the closing of this investigation brings an end to the possibility of charges to Lance in the U.S. through this particular inquiry, Armstrong will continue to be dogged by rumor and suspicion of doping, which has trailed him for most of his career.

I think Lance is clean and always has been. Few and far between phenomenal athletes come along and we can’t necessarily explain why they are as good as they are. Jealousy has fueled these rumors his entire career. Give him the kudos he deserves and move on.
Nothing sticks to Lance because there is nothing to stick. Only ambitious journalists, attorneys and anyone else wanting to make a few dollars by generating story lines. Lance is a gifted cyclist. Americans love to belittle each other just for a story line. The French people have tried for years to wear him down and nothing sticks because there is NO evidence. Stories by cheats and jealous half-witted cyclists is NOT evidence. Why do we beat each other up to try and make a buck!
I’m happy the investigation has been dropped. It’s a very, very dirty sport in regards to doping. I stopped making sweeping defense claims that any racer was 100% clean. But Lance has never tested positive, and he is an amazing and inspirational athlete.
I believe he is clean, they have tested numerous times and always negative, why bother him more. Leave him alone already.
Even if was not clean, what is to be gained by pusuing at this point? The French … Don’t they realize by being so intent on “getting” Lance, if they somehow succeed, they would also destroy the credibility of their own race AND destroy all the good being done in Lance’s name for Cancer research !!! Not a win-win or even remotely beneficial for anyone or any organization … Give it up already !!
Lance has tested positive.there his no disputing this, inspite of what la wants you to believe.
