Bike Riding in Portland, Oregon - A Cyclist's Dream

Portland, Oregon consistently ranks among the best cities in the United States for cyclists. It has bike culture, infrastructure that supports cycling and even an attitude among non-cyclists of recognition and support for their being co-owners of space on the street.

I recently had the chance to spend a week riding around Portland, and enjoyed discovering what PDX has to offer cyclists of all ability levels and riding styles.  Stops for me included a donut shop that sells a hundred count order of donuts packaged in a mini-wooden coffin, plus a local university with a fleet of utility bikes for its maintenance workers and lawn care staff.  Check out the whole article here, or peruse some of the other destinations for cycling that we've been able to explore.
