Saxo Bank, main title sponsor of the cycling team with the same name owned and managed by Bjarne Riis, will become a co-title sponsor of the team with by American software and technologies company SunGard, beginning in 2011. The team will be called "Saxo Bank-SunGard Professional Cycling Team."
This year, the team features some of the top stars in professional cycling, including brothers Andy and Frank Schleck, Fabian Cancellara, and fan favorite Jens Voigt. Though Voigt and the Schlecks will be departing for 2011, Saxo Bank-SunGard has added current Tour de France champion Alberto Contador who recently inked a contract to ride with the team next year, which means that Saxo Bank-SunGard is still strongly positioned for success in 2011.
In a joint statement, Kim Fournais and Lars Seier Christensen, the co-founders of Saxo Bank, said: "Bjarne Riis has delivered excellent results over the past couple of years and has an impressive plan for 2011. . . While our past collaboration with Bjarne Riis has been fantastic, we also know and trust the new co-title sponsor, SunGard, and that has made this strategic decision an even easier one to make."

The Schlecks have left to form their own team, and Jens Voigt, Stuart O’Grady and Matti Breschel have both left also.
I think the team will ultimately be successful, but it won’t look like the uber-squad they were this year.
