Slime tube sealant is supposed to help you get fewer flats, and all in all, it does a decent job of that. The bright green liquid coats the inside of your tubes, filling punctures with a clotting agent that prevents any further air loss. But if you're thinking about getting the Slime product, you'll notice that you can either buy new Slime tubes that already have the sealant inside them, or else you can buy Slime sealant in a bottle, which you just squirt into your existing tubes. One's definitely better than the other. But which is it, and why? Find out by reading our reviews:

The problem SLIME company presents to users is only offering tubes that have short valve-stems. Most top-quality rims nowadays are deep-dished. The standard 32mm-long valve stems are a tad too short for modern, quality rims. They might work, but one has to fight with the stems to get them inflated, as there is barely enough bare valve sticking up out of the rim to get a pump head onto it.
Why can’t SLIME company offer 48mm-long valve stems, so that their tubes become more functional? Also, SLIME company does not offer a 29er (inch) tube for mtbs, let alone one with a 48mm-long valve stem. SLIME company please take note: It is time you grew up out of the 1990’s & entered into the new bicycle millennium!
Desert Dan and all riders out there, SLiME is happy to report our Lite Smart Tubes come with 48mm valve stems and you can easily purchase those or our 29ers at http://www.slime.com.
