I carry my laptop inside its case, and also inside a small bin bag (for water protection) one of my panniers, which I keep balanced out with all the other supplies that I carry around. I only carry my camelbak on my back along with my bike tools.

OK, here’s inexpensive (cheap) . . local Goodwill retail outlet, Atascadero CA . . . in “like brand new” condition Samsonite 17″ laptop soft carry bag with all the bells and whistles out the door price . . . $6.00!
